Theory of Language Mixing
English Pedagogy : The child starts learning from the social system in which he lives. In the early stages, one learns to speak the sounds by imitation and then tries to understand and communicate the sounds of others. Later he gets busy with works in which he is more interested
It is necessary to take note of these natural interests of the child even at the time of mixing. This allows the child to take things very easily. Teaching is an art and to become proficient in this art, the teacher should carry out the teaching work keeping in mind the interests, abilities, and needs of the child. Thus the following are the general principles of language teaching
- Principle of Interest
- By showing an object.
- By asking questions according to their ability and ability.
- Using the classroom game method.
- By adding new knowledge based on prior knowledge.
- Connecting knowledge with children's lives.
- Principle of Action
- During learning, learning objectives can be achieved by keeping children as active as possible.
- The teacher can activate the children while teaching in the classroom, following the ideal reading by following the example.
- Children can be kept active by verbs such as oral conversation, question answering, storytelling, and listening.
- Earned knowledge can be activated by giving an opportunity to express it in writing.
Naturalization Principle
English Pedagogy : The child starts learning the language from his mother or father's lap. The first school of a child's learning is the family from where he gets his first education. As he grows, learning from the surrounding environment increases knowledge. In this way, he learns to speak by listening.
Theory of Individual Variation
All the students in the class have different intellectual abilities. Therefore, everyone should emphasize learning according to interest, accordingly, the learning ability of the children is also different, so the teacher should carry out the teaching work keeping in mind their different instincts and abilities.
Theory of Proportions And Order
English Pedagogy : There are two forms of language written and oral. The student listens and speaks to gain authority over oral and acquire the skills of reading and writing to gain authority over written form. The teacher should pay attention to the following things while teaching the language keeping this form in mind
Should speak first, which the student should listen and try to understand.
Later students should be given the opportunity to speak on their own and try to remove the defects of their oral expression.
Shortly after teaching listening and speaking, children should be taught to read so that they can understand their meaning by reading the written thoughts of others.
Finally, students should write and express their thoughts and feelings. With this, these four skills are developed in proper proportion, listening, speaking, reading, and writing in children. In addition, the following principles should be followed.
Principle of Selection.
- The Principle of Colloquialism.
- Theory of Definite Purpose.
- Theory of Practice.
- Principle of Planning.
- Theory of Shape And Theory of Simulation.
English Pedagogy : Thus, to make the language teaching process simple, interesting, and effective, appropriate principles should be used.
